The history of our hospital inventions starts in 1999. Eson Comfort formulates a number of inventions aimed to solve ergonomic problems at the county hospital in Halmstad. Jörgen and Anders Erlandsson presented a new innovation, PM-Comfort™ – Radiography mattress with handles and lowfriction. Eric Erlandsson develops Anders invention, Nefrolift ™ – Lift Concept for kidney positioning. Legfix ™ – Leg positioning is made the same way. Our most well known invention and construction is our TraumaTransfer ™. This invention gives the family business Eson Comfort and Anders Erlandsson, Halland County Council Inventors Scholarship in September 1999. The following years there will be a lot of new Eson-innovations. Eson Comfort invent and design a new positioning concept, SPACE ™.This innovation will start a new era of positioning aids, with brand new revolutionary features. This innovation by Anders is like so many others, example on how we from dissatisfaction with existing solutions, create new products. In the year of 2000 it is time for the next breakthrough invention, BedSlide ™. The first elliptical sliding board. Anders design it as an aid during transfers to our trauma mattress. Nowadays, it is a general solution that is used in many different health care settings. A few years later, we develop an ER-mattress – 1st-Comfort™. This mattress includes a number of new inventions by Anders and Eric. Flat and smooth top surface, new materials, better pressure relief, adjustable head pillow and our own EsonGrip ™-system.
In the year of 2005 it is time for TT-Cover ™, disposable cover to TraumaTransfer ™. This newly developed and patented immobilisation innovation by Anders, provides unprecedented opportunities for the safe disposal of patients in emergency departments.
Eson Comfort is awarded “Company of the Year 2005“.
We continue as stubbornly as ever, our struggle for better, safer and more environmentally friendly products and concepts in health care. We constantly invent new solutions and improve our older systems.
We have since 2012 our own sales organization, when our former partner decided to break our long-standing agreement. We will continue despite the deceit to question those who claim that something is impossible, and will just as we have done since the start, constantly prove them wrong.
In spring 2013 is Eson Comfort selected to represent the entire Halland County, when The Swedish King and Queen is visiting Halland. We told our whole story of how our small family company has changed and improved health care quite extensively.
It was with pride our small family firm received so much praise and we are delighted that we got more space than for example Gekås, in the King’s acceptance speech at Halmstad Castle. Our impact on health care is perhaps greater than what we have understood. The proof is that we were perceived as more interesting than, say, Getinge industries.
